Non Elastomers

Style 7540 - Vegetable Fiber

This is a most economic gasket material with good resistance to fuel oils, gasoline and other aggressive media. This material can easlity conform, bend, and compensate for flange distortions. Vegetable fiber (also called detroiter) are well-suited for electrical applications requiring high dielectric strength. Available in thinner gauges than most other gasket material.
